Core Vaccines Every Yorkie Needs
✅ DHPP — Given as a puppy series at 8, 12, and 16 weeks, then booster at 1 year, then every 3 years

✅ Bordetella — Highly recommended for LA dogs who visit parks, groomers, or doggy daycare. Given annually
Puppy schedule
Puppy Vaccination Timeline
Your Teacup Yorkie will receive their first vaccines from us before going home. At 6 to 8 weeks your puppy receives their first DHPP. At 10 to 12 weeks they receive their second DHPP and Bordetella. At 14 to 16 weeks they receive their third DHPP and first Rabies vaccine. At one year they receive DHPP and Rabies boosters. Make sure vaccinations are on your complete buyer checklist before pickup day.
🐾 Important Note for Teacup Yorkies
Because Teacup Yorkies are so tiny, some vets recommend splitting the DHPP and Rabies vaccines rather than giving them at the same visit. This reduces the chance of a vaccine reaction in a very small dog. Discuss this approach with your vet. Also read our guide on common Teacup Yorkie health issues to stay informed.
